Bear blog on bitwarden

Bear blog does not work properly with Bitwarden URI detection (I have confirmed this is not a malicious phish but do your own tests). It might be caused by Cloudflare but this is unclear anyway a quick fix is below:

The Fix: Adjusting Match Detection

To resolve this without affecting your other saved logins, follow these steps to update the item-level settings:

  1. Open the Bear Blog item in your Bitwarden vault and select Edit.
  2. Locate the URI 1 field and ensure it is set to: https://bearblog.dev/
  3. Click the Options (gear icon) or the dropdown menu immediately next to the URI field.
  4. Change the Match Detection from "Default" to Starts with.
  5. Save the item.

Why this works

By setting the detection to Starts with, Bitwarden will reliably trigger for the main site and all internal paths (such as /dashboard/ or /login/), bypassing the detection errors caused by the site's architecture.

Note: Only apply this change to the specific Bear Blog vault item. Changing the "Global" match detection in your extension settings would bitwarden to not work correctly on other sites.
